My 2012 planner

It's just a month away till 2012! In order to help me organize in whatever I'm doing, to accompany me is my new 2012 planner. But before that let me share some stuff I bought last Sunday when I went to SM with Jaja.

My only purpose of going to the mall last Sunday was to buy a new pair of school shoes. Unaware that I was seeing a lot at the stationery section. Ended up buying these. So much for the resisting.

You see, I have this obsession with cute pens and pencils of different kinds. I kinda have this thing with them that I tend to buy and buy a lot but I never use them. I just collect them. Here's two to add up to my collection.
This cute football eraser and pencil really caught my eye. Just have to buy it!
No questions asked, it's green. What more can I say.
I even bought a new permanent marker with refill so I don't have to buy a new one whenever it run out of ink.
Every woman loves Paris, and this one adds up to my anything-Paris-related stuff. It's so cute!

And the most awaited planner is here! My Harry Potter 2012 planner! It was actually my sister Jaja who saw this one. I was busy looking for a chalk container when she told me that she knows what my 2012 planner should be. Then she brought me to one of the shelves and there I saw it with matching "tada" sounds the Harry Potter 2012 planner. And there I was again, one happy Potterhead.
It's so awesome! And one of a kind! So happy with my purchase. It's only 170php. So cheap and so worth it! At least I'm not like every one else who's so hung up with the Starbucks planner or the Belle de Jour. Was supposed to get the SB planner or the BDJ, but this planner is really something. A must-have kung baga. :)

Math week

It's the time for us Math majors to show everyone what we're made of!

Let me start off with how busy we are. We have our college classes, in-campus practicum and off-campus practicum. Plus Math week! I don't even know how we survived it all. But at least for now I'm a little bit okay with the fact that it's over and it was a success, despite all the bumpy moments.

The preparation was one of the hardest things we've encountered. We started from scratch and didn't know how to start. Even with deciding for the theme of the event, we were having a very hard time. Until we decided on a theme that we think is perfectly fine, Transformath: Mathematics and Technology Systematizing Lives for a Better World.

I think I don't have any photos of us preparing for Math week. I was a little bit lazy to bring my can though. Haha. But I do have the photos during the events.

First event is Math-Me-Up. It's like cosplay but with a math-slash-computer twist. Instead of playing the role of an anime, the students are to play the role of a mathematician but in a robot way. Sounds fun ei!

We also have this thing called Matheknolohiya. A group of students per class is to make their own backdrop. We provided them the katya, where they're supposed to do their design and they were asked to bring their own materials. They just have to make sure that their design is in lined with the theme, of course.

One of the anticipated events on a Math week is the Amazing Math Race. It is an event where students really exerted effort, plus sweat. The students and participating 3rd year math majors did a round trip inside the UST campus, from España to Dapitan to Lacson to P.Noval to experience the Amazing Math Race. I was actually on the race because I was taking pictures. Haha. Tiring!

We also had a few shots of our last practice for our performance on the eve of the culminating day.

And a separate blog about our third event, which is the Wear it all Begins, posted here. :)

The day has come! Our math culminating day! Here are just some of the photos during the said day. We had the whole day for ourselves and for our students. The morning part was dedicated for one of our events, the Whiz Kids Challenge or in other words a math/computer quiz bee but an interactive one. In the afternoon, we started the event with our dashing Wear it all Begins candidates. The students ramped with their owned designs tops and jeans.

We, Math majors, did our own production number! Yay that! Some of us sung Bizarre Love Triangle and Everything You Do. And below, is She, Ponzi and Me rapping Super Bass. You got that! And our very own dance prod. We were all dancing. Imagine that! Hahaha. It was a mixture of old school upbeat songs and current upbeat songs.

And there you have it. Math week 2011 is over. :)

Wait wait wait! At the end of the day we were all like .....

Screaming for tinapay! Tinapay! Tinapay! Hahaha. Only us know the story behind that. Haha. :))

Thank you very much to all the people involved in making this event successful. We owe you bigtime!

Wear it all Begins

Hello there students! This is Ms. Kristine Bulatao in duty. Hahaha. Weird.

Wear it all Begins is one of the events for our Math week. It was actually my idea. I remember proposing this idea to Apol during Alexine's birthday. It was almost midnight and we're still at Jollibee talking about Math week suddenly I thought about this event. Why don't we ask the students to design their own clothes and let them do a fashion show ramping their own-designed stuff? Then during one of our meetings for the Math week, it was approved. Yay!

It really is one of my dreams to organize a mini-fashion show. And there you have it. Half-contented. :)

Well, not fully contented, because I had a few problems with some sort of stuff that I'll never tell you. :P Haha. Though I had problems with my co-teachers and the fact that some things are happening that I don't know! Whatever. I'm happy with everything na rin naman and it was a huge success too.

So we had a photoshoot days before the culminating day. Of course I had to head the photos processing thing.

I welcome you our Wear it all Begins boys candidates!

 And our girls candidates!

But our competition isn't about being solo. They have to compliment themselves as a pair. And here are their final pair shots!

Our grand champion is 3rd year Justice! Congratulations! :)

We also had some special awards like, voters' choice which goes to 4th year Respect, princess of the crowd goes to 3rd year Dignity girl and prince of the crowd goes to 3rd year Justice boy and the photogenic award goes to 1st year Piety girl and 4th year Respect boy.

Once again congratulations to all the winners and participants! Thank you very much!
