Taylor Swift's 1989 album feedback

Can't help but feel more love for Taylor Swift's new album 1989. Every lyric, every tune, every beat is so perfect. Every song is different and each has a unique message.

Started listening to the songs right after the album was out on iTunes about a week ago and I almost memorize all the lyrics already. Haha! Why is it so hard to memorize drugs and diseases when it is this easy to memorize song lyrics just by listening to them again and again? Oh the irony of life. But can't argue with that.

I don't know if you guys noticed it but I've been tweeting a lot of TS 1989 lyrics since her album came out, like A LOT OF LYRICS. So don't get me wrong if I tweet deep quotes or stuff, they're just lyrics. Haha. I tweet to much lyrics all the time anyway. Don't take them personally. :P

I just thought that I have to share the top 5 songs that I liked best from her 1989 album, though I like EACH AND EVERY SONG, I have to pick my top 5, though I have to admit I'm having a hard time trimming my list because I. LIKE. EVERYTHING.

For me, this song is like taking a risk for a new love. Taylor's like asking, will this be a forever forever or the one that will burn with flames kind of love? But I don't care let's just go for it kind of.

This song hits me fast like how a bullet hits you. The first time I heard it, I knew right then that this will be my favorite 1989 single. Not only that this is my favorite 1989 song, this song is now on my list for one-of-my-all-time-favorite-songs. Yay! This shall be next to Paramore's That's What You Get :)

Too much feels on this song. I think I listened to this song more than 50 times already since I first heard it. Yup. It's on repeat right now.

Favorite line from the song: You're the King baby, I'm your Queen.

Word. This is Taylor singing for the typical girls out there who were left out by stupid guys who left for undefined reasons. Hey guys, let me tell you a little secret, girls tend to be "emotional" at times but sometimes you have to accept that and just be there for them. And they would appreciate that. But once you lost that trust, she'll be gone forever before you even know it.

Favorite line from the song: All you had to do was stay, had me in the palm of your hand then why'd you had to go and lock me out when I let you in.

I read somewhere that Taylor composed this song inspired by Harry Styles. Which if you have time to read the lyrics, are of good things and not of bitterness naman. It's a different TS song like a Miami-vice kind of ambiance, very Harry Styles style. And when you listen to the lyrics, they practically describes Harry.

Favorite line from the song: You got that James Dean day dream look in your eyes.

This one's a slow pop song I think, with its fast beat and all. It's a song she made for her guy fans like Taylor's teaching them how they can get a girl that they like and telling them how would it be like losing a girl that you like.

Favorite line from the song: I want you for worse or for better. I would wait forever and ever. Broke your heart, I'll put it back together.

I love how chill this song starts. It's like you're inside a shelter beside a river and you can hear the water running while you're alone with the one you love. And just by listening to it, you'll feel in love even though you really are not. And there's a part somewhere near the ending where it feels so magical like I can imagine two people who are unaware of what they feel between each other suddenly felt each other's sparks. So lovely! <3

Taylor describes the feelings and emotions one would feel when you're in love. If the things she said here basically describes what you feel right now, then I think you're in love too. And go for it! You only have like what few years to live and you'll just let it slip away? Take the chance! Take the risk!

Favorite line from the song: You can hear it in the silence. You can feel it on the way home. You can see it with the lights out.

I don't know man but her songs are like my source of oxygen right now. I. LOVE. THEM. TOO. MUCH.

I was supposed to attach a lyric video of the songs from youtube but youtube won't let them play. Anyway, just youtube them and listen to them coz they're all perfect! :)

The Selection Trilogy: The One

Hi hi hi! I'm so excited to share with you my The Selection series experience. It has been a great adventure with America and Prince Maxon, from The Selection to The Elite until to The One. *curtsy*

Before I even begin with The One, I blogged about the first two books here, The Selection and The Elite, last year when I got to read it. I read it during my sembreak on my first year in med school. Actually, I spent my entire sembreak that time reading tons of books. Haha. :P

So I read the first two books last October 2013 and got soooooo bitin kasi March 2014 pa raw irerelease ang third book. Why you let us hanging Kiera Cass? Huhu. So anyway, wala naman akong magagawa but to wait. Until March 2014 they announced that they'll release the 3rd book on May 2014. Whhhyyyyy you prolong my agony? So I had to wait again. All I do is wait. #hugot

And then the time comes! A month before the release date, photos of trade paperback books of The One are trending in the bookworm world in the internet and that got me more excited. I. Can't. Wait. To read it!

Last wednesday night, I started reading it. I don't know why I waited weeks after the release before I read it. Stupid me. I don't know, I'm just really weird. And I got to finish it last night! Aaaaaand here's goes nothing.

Prince Maxon is just the sweetest! Gaaaah! I know princes are supposed to be sweet since they are "the prince", but Prince Maxon is just plain different.

From 35 girls down to 4 with Lady America on the top, who will Prince Maxon choose to be The One? One way to find out! Read the book :)

WARNING: SPOILER ALERT HERE. If you don't want to be spoiled, then skip this part.

After what happened in the Report, King Clarkson is definitely voting America out for the crown. But Prince Maxon won't let her go just like that and obviously, he fought for her and made her stay. But despite all the fighting, America and Prince Maxon seems to still have problems. They obviously both love each other pero they're denying pa eh. Kasi ba namaaan! Hahaha. Ramdam ko eh noh. :))

You gotta pour hate on King Clarkson here. So much for a king. Ugh. And more more love on Queen Amberly. Especially that time when Lady America teased her for calling her Mom and Queen Amberly said that she can't wait to hear her say that everytime. Awwww. <3

How about the other Elites, Celeste, Kriss and Elise? I'm glad Celeste came into her senses and became one of America's best bud. But I'm very sad that their friendship had to end so soon. I wish I could see more of Celeste as this new girl. One horrible fiction death I will never get over with, again.

Why did Kiera Cass have to kill America's father? This is the part where I started crying! Huhuhu. Just like America, I'm so attached to my father and just like my father, her dad died because of a heart failure. Our stars are aligned, now where's my Prince Maxon? Hahaha. Another fiction death I'll never get over with. Here is a screencap of her father's last words to America which made me broke down in tears. I miss my Dad soooo muuuuuch. T__T

To cut the story short, you'll definitely love the ending. Ang cheesy lang ni Prince Maxon! Hahaha. Ang cute niyaaaa, so sweeeeet <3 Just read it and be kilig! Sobrang kinilig ako to the point na while he was proposing to America, I was crying. Yes! I cried on his proposal, and that's the first propsal ever na napaiyak ako. T___T So much feels right thur.

Can't wait to buy the boxed set once they're out. This series must have a space on my future library. They definitely deserve a spot there. Gotta love royalty romance.

Now I'm having a hard time coping with reality again. Fiction does this to me everytime and I think I'll never get used to it.

Thank you Kiera Cass for writing one of the best books I've ever read. <3

Summer Read #2: Eleanor & Park

Ever since I went to med school I wasn't able to read a lot of books, which was my life before med school. Yes I read books, but medicine books say whaaat.

I only have 2 months this summer break to read all the books that I can. So I started reading right after our exams were over. Haha. Make the most out of it, they say!

Won't talk much about the first book I've read this summer. But just in case you want to know what book I read, it was Three Words, Eight Letters, Say it, and I'm Yours by a Filipina writer Jade Margarette Pitogo. It was so good I was having a hard time stopping reading. Haha. The ending was so sad though. Didn't expect it to end that way.

Anyway, how about Eleanor & Park! I got this book as an exchange gift last December and I loved it, thank you! :) The first time I opened it I want to read it immediately but medschool won't let me. Ugly truth, I know.

I've heard a lot about this book, and when I say a lot I mean positive lots. Plus it's going to be on screens soon. Yaaaay! *screams* Therefore I must read it immediately before it even hit the theaters, I told my bookish self. And I did! Just did! Finished reading it last night. Don't judge me but it made me teary-eyed. But not the same cry I had when I read Dear John, oh that book!

What about Eleanor & Park, I promise no spoiler here. It's about two totally different high school kids whose relationship started inside a school bus. Who never thought would be friends because they can't even look at each other at the beginning. Suddenly turned out to be lovers! Two misfits who became the perfect fit for each other. <3

Read it and reminisce as you remember your high school puppy loves. This book will definitely remind you how it is to be young, in love and be young in love. <3

The book will revolve around how Eleanor and Park managed to stay together despite the barriers that are Eleanor's father, school bitches, their differences and their own feelings. It's such a sweet book really, and very very cute! Especially Park. =p

If you read reviews about this book you'll see that most people will contemplate how the story end. Like how books usually end, the ending is bitin. Only one way to find out, read it. :) As for me, I'd forever wonder what that ending meant. And yes, I'm very sad about Park and a bit mad at Eleanor. Why'd she have to do that? She had a choice! And she chose to... Haaay Eleanor, you think about stuff a lot and not let your heart do the thinking.

My Goodreads rating: 5 of 5 stars

And you know me, I take a lot of photos of my books when I read, so here are some. Hihi. :)

I posted this one on my instagram days ago. It was the first time Park held Eleanor's hand and it was too cute! :D

And a few more #bookselfie

And the fangirl that I am, I googled some fan-made art about Eleanor & Park, and here are some of the ones that I found.

Quote that.

And just like how I picture Eleanor & Park. <3

10 things to ponder on this 2014

Hi readers! Happy new year! It's about time for me to post my first blog for this year.

To start off, here's a list of the top 10 things I want to do this year, top 10 because there are other things besides these but these 10 would be the major ones. I know I know new year's resolutions are made to be broken so what the heck I'm still doing them. At least I have a guide whenever I got pushed to another direction. It's just something that will remind me of what I should do with my life this year.

1. Learn how to say no to food.
In other words, eat less. I have three months to get rid of all the holiday fats I gained and to prepare myself na rin for summer. It'll be my 2nd to last summer vacation so I better be fit to enjoy it the most! I must practice moving my head from left to right whenever someone offers me food.

2. Read more books.
I got to read 21 books last year plus Catching Fire, because I read that last 2012 but read it again last November 2013 to prep myself for its movie release. This year, my book challenge in my goodreads account is to read 30 books. Actually I'm aiming for more pero medschool is taking most of my reading time so I think 30 is a good number of books to read already.

3. Watch more movies.
Whenever I finish a movie I always feel better. Be it a good movie or a disaster movie, it always makes my mood better. I don't know maybe movies has this sort of drug that calms me everytime. Cool.

4. Make exercise a habit.
If I have to successfully do my #1 list I must accompany it with exercise. I used to do hip-hop abs before but I don't think it's enough though. I'll try my very best to run a few laps whenever I have time and in between studying so that burning all these fats will be faster.

5. Take more candid photos.
I love candid photos! It shows the real personality of a person behind all those physical aspect you see in the outside. Ito yung tunay na totoo :)

6. Listen to lectures more often than not.
Lectures regarding medicine can be very boring sometimes that I tend not to listen and just play random games in my iPad or search the internet while in class. Like for example kanina, first 2 lectures of the year, I listened pretty well! Haha. Though during the second lecture I was kinda sleepy na pero I tried my best to listen. It's a good start still!

7. Keep a 365-day journal/diary.
Maybe it sounds kinda baduy to some of you but there's no stopping me. I'm keeping a journal or most people call it diary for one whole year. So far so good! I've been doing pretty well on my journal, haven't miss a day since January 1 so far. And I'm keeping it that way! It'll be so fun to read them all again once the year is about to end and reminisce the important events that happened to me this year.

8. Besides the 365-day journal, I'm keeping a 365-photo diary.
Just like #7, I haven't miss a day since January 1 and I'm keeping it that way! I may not be able to post everything on instagram but I'll be blogging about them every week, so that's 4 blog posts a month! Yay!

9. Care less.
The less you care, the less you'll get hurt. Why mind if you don't matter? Enough said.

10. Do epic shits.
This be my #1 resolution for 2014. 365 days is a lot of days! So that's gotta be a lot of epic shits in my list. I've actually done 1 epic shit already since January 1. Wohoo! And more more to go!

Let's do this 2014! I'm starting you with a blast and hopefully end you with a bang! *cough baduy cough*

How about you, how do you want your 2014 to be?
