Movies Night In

Since Sunday, PLDT is pissing me off. We've no internet connection since then until today morning.

Last Monday night I've got nothing to do. So I just decided to grab my hard drive and watch some romantic comedies. I've also noticed that I haven't been seeing any new movie for a while.

Didn't have a hard time deciding on what to watch. Picked A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song and Friends With Benefits.

So, let's start off.

A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song (2011)
It stars Lucy Hale and Freddie Stroma.

I really find Lucy pretty and in fairness, Freddie looks really good! Especially for a musician. It's just another cinderella story movie which revolves around music. If you're into Bruno Mars and Katy Perry type of music, you'll surely love this movie. You'll get a plenty dose of kilig too. Yikeee! :)

Here's a little trailer from the movie.

Friends With Benefits (2011)
Stars Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake.

I've always been a Justin Timberlake fan, since the N'Sync days. The time I heard that he'll be starring this movie, I got so excited! I can't wait to see him act again! But this time, he's into a steaming hot movie with Mila Kunis, another hot actress. Well, the movie was pretty hot. Really really hot. Hey kids below 13 years old, you should not see this movie! The movie's got a good plot. It's like you'll never guess what's going to happen next, yea, that kind of reaction. I had fun watching this movie. I hope you do too. Go watch it!

And the trailer.

Harry Potter inspired weddings

You know how the name "Harry Potter" catches my attention.

This wedding will be mine in the future! Hahaha. I waaaaaant! I'm so inggit. It's like I wanna get married this instant. Hahaha.

Saw this site about two couples who had their weddings Harry Potter inspired. Let's read a little background about them why they chose Harry Potter as their wedding theme and some photos during their wedding.

Christine and Andy's Wedding
The first features a couple that actually met because of Harry Potter! Christine and Andy met online through a post about Harry Potter news, so it seemed only natural for their wedding to be influenced by the series.

Invitation! Look closely, there's Hedwig on the seal. :)

All aboard the Hogwarts Express!

Welcome to the Forbidden Forest.

It all reminds us of Godric's Hallow.

It's Hermione's time turner, a glass of butterbeer, Neville's toad and Gryffindor's lion.

Now this is wizard-y,  it's the sorting hat and a number of wands as souvenirs. Cool!

Which table house will you be sorted?

The lovely Great Hall of Hogwarts.

A toast to the very Harry Potter-inspired wedding!

And our second couple!

Spectra and Sawyer's Wedding
Spectra and Sawyer's wedding featured a Honeydukes candy buffet, butterbeer, and of course more magic wands. We love the attention to detail here—wait til you see the ceremony program!

The lovely couples themselves.

The guests with their own wands.

Is that Mrs. Weasley?

Look! It's a felix felicis or the luck potion, plus Hedwig and Pigwidgeon to deliver the messages, and the Marauder's Map, some ink and quill and the cake. All Harry Potter!

Inspired by the Bill and Fleur's wedding at the Burrow.

Special treats from Honeydukes!

How lovely are these. I want one like this too. Someday. I know I will. Someday. :)

If this were you

..what would you feel?

Lucky enough?

If you were the guy, what could be that one wrong thing you did that can make you do this? The damage has been done. But still, you want to make up for it.

If you were the girl, would you accept his apology no matter how bad his mistake was if he did this to you? Ready to give him the second chance?

Just asking. :)

Got into Pottermore!

Was accepted to Hogwarts last August 3, 2011. And Pottermore named me as HazelDust7.

Pottermore began sending confirmation e-mail to those who passed the 6 days of finding the magic quill after the given 6 days of registration.

I was so stoked to get my confirmation e-mail! I wanted to see what's inside Pottermore early so I can explore Hogwarts and the life of Harry Potter deeper.

So, Pottermore is likely an interactive world of Harry Potter. You get to play the role of a wizard or a witch wherein you're schoolmates with Harry, Ron and Hermione. You may even got to be in the same house as they are.

And finally today, I got my confirmation e-mail! Been waiting since their day 1 of sending off e-mails!

Here's my confirmation e-mail.

After I received my e-mail, immediately explored Pottermore.

Finished chapters 1 to 5 already of the Sorcerer's Stone.

Went to Gringotts to get some galleons. Went to Diagon Alley to go shopping for my school supplies, wizard style. And got my own wand! It's a silver lime with unicorn core, ten and a quarter inches, slighty yielding. I love my wand! Unicorn core, yaaay!

Here's getting into Gringotts wizard bank. Got 500 galleons from my vault.

Welcome to Diagon Alley! Let's do some wizard shopping!

Before I go to Hogwarts, I need to buy stuff that I will be needing, and here's my shopping list.

One of my favorite stores in Diagon Alley is Flourish & Blotts where I get to buy books regarding magic.

And of course! One of the things only a wizard/witch has, a wand! Here's what mine looks like.

Pretty isn't it? Getting into Pottermore.

I can't wait to be sorted! I wonder which house I'll be placed. Tomorrow I shall know!

Can't stop exploring Pottermore but I really have to go. Hahaha. Well, there's always a tomorrow. So there.

HP in 1 month

I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. *hands down*

Unfortunately, I am one of those fans who were not able to read the books before the movie. The only difference is, I am determined to read ALL 7 books, even though I've seen the movies.

A lot of people told me that the books are better than the movies. It's always like that. Every book that has turned into movies, the written ones are always better than the watched ones.

Not to brag or anything but due to my determination, excited-ness, eagerness and being tumultuous, I was able to finish the first three books namely: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban.

I didn't expect that I'll be able to do it so quickly. Hahaha. I guess I was so desperate.

I. NEEDED. TO. READ. ALL. THE. HARRY. POTTER. BOOKS. AT. ONCE.

And there you go! 1 month was all I need to finish 3 books. Almost a thousand pages I must say.

Just a little something I'd like to share, Prisoner of Azkaban is, so far, my favorite among the HP books. I read the last 1/4 of the book in just one sitting, one morning to be exact. It was so good I couldn't stop reading!

Now I'm half-way through Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. If we're talking about movies, Goblet of Fire is my favorite. So far, the book's okay, but I think Prisoner of Azkaban's still better. I don't know yet. I'm not yet done though.

I'm just so happy that I am able to read such a very good set of novels. :)

How Harry Potter should have ended

Was browsing through Twitter and found this link about Harry Potter. You know how fast my eyes work the instant I see the words "Harry Potter." Immediately clicked the link and found this video that goes with it.

I have to say, it was a brilliant ending. Genius.

What if JK Rowling did think of that? Snape didn't die and went back to the past and killed Tom Riddle the day Dumbledore asked him to come to Hogwarts. What if?

I think the part where Snape turned the Time-Turner 200,000+ times was funny. Hahaha. It should have took him days before he was able to finish turning. Haha.

And that part where Snape shot Voldemort with a gun. Wizards and guns? Funny! Hahaha.

It's kinda funny though but it could mean a lot.

All you Harry Potter fans out there, what can you say? Or do you have any alternative ending?

Our tech-obsessed generation

Everyone's talking about Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and YouTube! What has happened to our generation?

MTV generation has gone far away. Welcome to the Tech-Obsessed generation!

People a lot these days are not anymore fond of talking or hanging out personally. With the use of these social networking sites, they ended up snuggling at home with their hands busy tapping the keyboard or their phones.

Where are all the face-to-face socialization at?

Reality people. This is reality.

Everyone has gone mad with socializing online. Whatever happened to real-life socializing.

I have to admit that I can surely relate myself to the video clip shown above.

I bring my smartphone and my iPod with me everywhere. With the help of my BlackBerry, I can tweet and update my facebook everywhere I go. But I, fortunately, no matter how addicted I am with twitter, is not obsessed with it. I tweet, yes and addicted to it, but I know when and where I should tweet and update. I don't tweet everything I do nor tweet every single time.

Yes I blab a lot on twitter but not as much as the girl on the video clip. I still hang-out though!

Social networking sites are beyond their expectations already, I guess. They turned human beings to tech-obsessed bodies slowly but surely.

But I guess it's not yet too late to change, is it? We still have access to say "no" and the will to control what we wanted to do.

Now, what can you say?
