Golden hits!

Check out my blog's current hits, it's over 50K! Wohooo! Thank you so much for visiting my blog even if I don't update it much these days.

I actually just made this blog post to celebrate my 50K hits, nothing special feature really. But since you are reading this and someone else might be reading this, let me share to you the top 5 songs I've been listening to this past few days.

1. Raspberry Girl - Chicosci
I'm a HUGE Chicosci fan! Just in case you don't know yet. Here's their newest single! Can't wait for the music video!

2. Locked Out of Heaven - Bruno Mars
My new feel good song! Every time I listen to it everything suddenly feels good. Ganda lang ng beat!

3. They Don't Know About Us - One Direction
My favorite song from their new album Take Me Home. Those voices. Damn.

4. Kiss You - One Direction
Their newest single! Plus their new music video! I love how the music video doesn't have any girls in it. Just 5 boys being themselves. Best mv yet. :)

5. Pitch Perfect Soundtrack - Various Artists
Been so curious with the movie Pitch Perfect since the Christmas break. And last Tuesday, I was able to see it. Finally! Now I know what the fuss is all about. Will do a separate blog about it soon. :) Here's a complete soundtrack from the movie. Love it so much! <333

Simple Plan Saved My Life

Currently on Twitter's top 7 trending topic in the Philippines and top 8 worldwide. How cool is that!

Simple Plan has always been a part of my childhood. I've always liked their songs Addicted, I'm Just A Kid, Shut Up, Perfect and more. They were hiatus for a long time and got back with their third album where I liked their songs When I'm Gone, Your Love is A Lie and more. And now, they're back with their fourth album, Get Your Heart On!

I was so happy that one of their songs, Can't Keep My Hands Off You, is included in the soundtrack of a Disney movie, Prom. I was hooked up with that song, until I learned about their song Jet Lag. If my iPod's on twitter, the song Jet Lag is the top trending topic. It was on always on repeat!

To admit it, I was in love with the song Jet Lag since then. Then I remembered how I loved the band Simple Plan since I was a child. I always dreamed of jumping and head banging with the band live, and this concert tour definitely made it happen.

The time I saw the poster, I was like, "DEFINITELY GOING THERE!" Was supposed to buy the VIP ticket which costs 4,500php but I got no one to go with.

In the end, decided to buy the upper box b ticket, one for me and one for Yayen. He had to accompany me. It was my treat. Hahaha.

I don't have any decent photo of them on stage because they look small back from where I was standing. But here are some. And the rest are photos I grabbed from Simple Plan Philippines website.

Arrived Araneta at exactly 8pm, just when Kamikazee is about to play their first song. Here's Kamikazee opening for Simple Plan.

At 9:10 in the evening, the band showed up! I was up on till then until the end of the show. I almost cried during the concert. I'm just so happy to see them live. It has always been my dream. I never thought I'd see them live.

The next time they'll be here, I'm be the one in front. I'll buy the most expensive ticket! Coz by that time I'm sure I have a job already and will really save up for Simple Plan. I love them like that!

I don't know what to say anymore. I'm just so happy.

The following photos are not mine. :)

I LOVE YOU SIMPLE PLAN! TILL WE MEET AGAIN. :)

I need cash!!!

SIMPLE PLAN LIVE IN MANILA!!!

It's what I've been asking for!

You see I almost lose all hope of seeing them live coz they've been here in Manila last 2008 and I didn't get to see them. And the chance of getting international bands to play again is the same as you-won't-see-them-ever-again.

So when I saw this photo on facebook, I was all ^_____________^ Now this is a must-watch!

It's like a dream come true! I never thought they'd come back. Thank you Lord for answering my prayer.

I'm pretty sure that 2012 is going to be a blast! With Simple Plan starting my year, what more could I ask for?

Plus! The Summer Set is going here too! OMG! They'll be here in February, by the way Simple Plan is on January 12. Month after month of awesome bands. Let's do this!

I'll. Get. To. See. Stephen. Gomez. Oh. My. God. He is the sex god of all the bassists in the world! Dreams really do come true.

Talking about cash. I have two concerts in line to go to. And I need all the cash I can get. I need all the side lines or stuff like that that I can get to incur money. Pleeeease shower me tons of cash this November! My goal is to reach 4500php until Paskuhan so I can buy the Patron VIP ticket to Simple Plan. But, if I really can't save that much of money, then whatever money I have until Paskuhan, that'll be the amount of ticket that I will buy. I hope I can get to 4.5k till Paskuhan. Please pray for me!

Now, tell me, is 2012 really the end of the world? For me, it's just the beginning. Can't wait! :)

Youtube night!

I was watching this tutorial video of Lauren Young on how to do a smokey eye when I found myself watching tons of videos on youtube already!

I always hear Ate Laurence yapping about smokey eye but I really haven't had the chance to see how it looked like. That's why I got all giddy to watch Lauren's video.

After watching Lauren's video, I busied myself watching different kinds of video on youtube.

Thought of sharing some of the videos I enjoyed watching.

1. Dance choreos

Moment 4 Life - Nicki Minaj

Mr. Saxobeat - Alexandra Stan

On the Floor - Jennifer Lopez

Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5 - my fave among these

2. Hair tutorials

Donut hair by Tricia Gosingtian

Simple Curly Side by Tricia Gosingtian - I will try this some time! :)

One-side-up bow by Ericka - this is so cool and easy!

C. Inlove more than ever with Simple Plan. A huge fan since the "Addicted, Perfect and I'm Just A Kid" days.

Astronaut, their newest single. This video just came out 2 weeks ago. Make room for Simple Plan!

And my current favorite-slash-theme song, JET LAG! Been stuck in my head for the rest of the week already. Hahaha. YOU SAY GOOD MORNING WHEN IT'S MIDNIGHT!!! LSS for the whole week already. Ahuh.

And their first ever music video, Addicted. This never gets old.

Plus a lot lot more Simple Plan music videos, concerts and guest appearances. Love love!

Day maker

If you really know me personally, then you must know that Paramore is my all-time favorite band.

And if you know me deep, I mean really really really know me, then you must know that That's What You Get by Paramore is my all-time favorite song.

Yupyup! Paramore all the way!

Never get tired listening to this song. May it be the original one or the acoustic version, never gets old.

Today, I was like having those one-of-the-worst-days-ever feeling. So I had to listen to Paramore to help me get by. I don't want to end the day feeling like that though.

Listening to Paramore makes everything better! It's like their music can hypnotize me with just one strung of the guitar, one note of Hayley's voice and one beat of the drums.

So I have to share to you guys one of my favorite acoustic version of That's What You Get, performed on MTV plugged.

I have to admit, I miss Josh and Zac Farro. Paramore will never be the same without them. But I'm still happy that Hayley, Taylor and Jeremy continued to perform music even after the Farro brothers left the band.

I can't wait to see them live again!

So anyways. Just sharing this random thought and also spreading the good vibes.

Goodnight! :)

Band talk

Currently top 2 trending topic on Twitter, #top10favouritebands.

You don't know me at all if you don't know that I'm a huge fan of bands. And when I say bands I mean boys who play guitars, bass and drums, not those boys who only sing and make pacute.

I tell you, being in a band makes you a lot hotter and cooler. I swear that's the truth.

I would not want naman to flood my timeline on twitter just to post who my favorite bands are. Decided to just do a blog about it. Since I think it's a very interesting topic too.

Actually, I have a lot of favorite bands. Top 3 on my list are the most accurate, while from 4-10 are not in particular order.

10. A Rocket to the Moon
I like their song Mr. Right and Like We Used To. Santino looks good too, besides that he can sing very well.

9. McFly
Growing up with them! First saw them in a movie with Lindsay Lohan, Just My Luck. All of em looked good! Especially Dougie! Haha. I like their songs Obviously and My Girl.

8. My Chemical Romance
Why not?! MCR reminds me of my high school days. They were a huge part of it! I like their songs Teenagers, Helena, The Black Parade and lot more!

7. Linkin Park
Way way back elementary days! They are legendary! I can still remember how I discovered Linkin Park. I saw this cassette somewhere in our sala, tried to play it on the radio and there you have it, I started listening to Linkin Park. My favorites are One Step Closer, Points of Authority, In the End and so much more!

6. New Found Glory
I love how they remake a lot of songs to punk rock of their own style. There is something with this band that makes me want to listen to their cover than the original. My favorites are The Glory of Love and My Friends Over You. Plus Hayley's boyfriend is from NFG.

5. Hey Monday
Because I love Cassadee! She has an amazing high voice. She's pretty cool rocker girl too. I love their songs Candles, Homecoming, How You Love Me Now and 6 Months and their cover of Jason Derulo's In My Head, perfect!

4. Parokya Ni Edgar
Of course,  they're a legend to the Philippine music. My favorite since I learned about bands. Who would not like them anyway? I think every Filipino should know them. Almost all of their songs are my favorites! Especially, One and Only You, Pangarap Lang Kita, Inuman Na and more more more!

3. THE SUMMER SET
I'm inlove with Stephen James Gomez, the dear bassist of this swag band. Learned about them on Tumblr. Noticed that most posts I saw on Tumblr is about this The Summer Set band so out of curiosity, I listened to one of their songs, Passenger Seat. Few days after, I found myself downloading their album. I even had their album in repeat for a couple of weeks. My favorite songs from them are Passenger Seat, Punch Drunk Love and Chelsea.

2. CHICOSCI
No questions asked. It's Chicosci beybi! My one and only. I love Chicosci from the bottom of my heart. You know that. I've seen them perform live a number of times already and I can say that with the way they perform live, no doubt they've gone this far. They played music outside the country many times already, only proves that they really are good. I am a huge fan of Chicosci since high school and I think I can sing along to any of the Chicosci songs. These guys are so talented! They are to die for. My favorite songs, all I guess but the best would be 7 Black Roses, Sweet Maria and Breathe Again. <3

1. PARAMORE
Best. Band. Ever! Spent a huge amount of my own money just to see them live in Manila. I have to! It may be the first and last, but hopefully not, time I'd see them live. I swear I was close to having a heart attack the time Hayley was on stage. That would be the greatest band concert I've been to, so far. So Paramore, I love Hayley! Hands down to this lady. She has this amazing, strong, husky voice that I envy and would love to have too. Taylor and Jeremy are awesome too. Paramore is nothing without them two. I have to admit, I kinda miss the Farro brothers, Josh and Zac. But nonetheless, Paramore is still doing great even without the two. My favorite song of all time is That's What You Get by Paramore. I love all their songs. All are my favorite!

What bands do I listen to? Coheed and Cambria, Alesana, Kamikazee, Franco, Urbandub, Tanya Markova, Silent Sanctuary, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, All Time Low, The Maine, Blink 182, Simple Plan and lot lot lot more!

Bands, best thing that ever happened to the world of music.

The Paramore Concert Experience

I was supposed to write this blog last night but 2 of my blockmates stayed for the night here at my place, so, I wasn't able to. But, here I am, blogging!

MARCH 9, 2010. MOA CONCERT GROUNDS.

It has been a year since my first Paramore concert! Hopefully not my first and last though.

Paramore is my favorite band of all time. (You don't know me if you don't know that.) I've never wanted a band like them, ever. Not that Hayley's really pretty and sings so good and all, but the band itself, I love them! Their songs have been one of my inspirations. Until now they continue to inspire me.

The time I heard that Paramore will have a concert here in Manila, no second thoughts, I HAVE TO GO TO THAT PARAMORE CONCERT. First and last thought. Since then, that Paramore concert is the best concert I've been to. Nothing more, nothing less.

I had the time of life that night. I was singing at the top of my lungs. Never thought that I'd be able to sing Paramore songs together with Hayley live. I must say, BEST NIGHT EVER.

I spent my own money to buy the 4k Paramore ticket. That's how desperate I am to see the band of my dreams!

Who would have thought that after a year I still can't get over of what happened. I remember every single detail of what happened that night.

All the screaming. PARAMORE! PARAMORE! HAYLEY! HAYLEY! That band. That girl. Everything about them is to be loved.

I'm pretty sure that they'll consider coming back here in Manila, what do you say? :)

I have my own copy of videos on that night, and here is where Paramore sang my favorite Paramore song, That's What You Get. And bare with it cause I was busy singing my favorite Paramore song. I got all starstruck!

And here are some of the shots I made. I used only my digital camera cause SLR's are not allowed inside the concert vicinity.

My first shot of Hayley!

WE ARE PARAMORE!!!

Meet my idol, Hayley Williams!

Taylor York.

Justin York, Taylor's brother. Too bad Josh wasn't here.

Jeremy Davis.

And Zac Farro.

PARAMORE!

And a whole lot more! I badly want to see them live again. Next time! There will be a next time!

I LOVE YOU PARAMORE. Paramore is (still) a band.
