Polaroid’s Z2300 Instant Digital Camera

As much as I miss taking photos or doing photoshoots, I really miss being a photographer. Much of you may be craving for food but please I am craving for this baby. I wish I have a decent paying job so I can get myself one of these. I want the white one! SO BAAAD!

------------------------

Instagram has inspired a flurry of digital photo-sharing products like Instaglasses and Instaprint which offer views of the world through Instagram filters and the printing of bite-sized Instagram pictures, respectively, as well as renewed inspiration for retro-styled snapshots. But in spite of the app’s chicness, it’s sometimes nice to revert to the true old-fashioned days when Polaroids reigned supreme as an instant picture-taker and the super-computer was inconceivable even by imagination. For those days, Polaroid’s newest camera, the Z2300, combines the old with the new beautifully.

The Z2300 is a digital camera with the ability of instant printing, a concept that Pop Photo notes is “not a new concept for Polaroid” but believes is the company’s “most practical yet.” The 10 mega-pixel camera features a 3-inch LCD screen for reviewing images, a 6X zoom lens (which Pop Photo believes is actually digital), and a video capture, unique to the new device.

The video capture allows for HD, though Pop Photo clarifies this may only mean about 720p. Still, the capability is neat, and paired with 32 MB of storage that can be increased with an SD card and a flash drive with “five different firing modes,” the Z2300 is a pretty cool offering.

The camera also allows photographers to choose borders for their photos (like the retro Polaroid one), and lets one set the image quality and white balance.

Once all of these aspects are set and a picture is snapped, it is printed from the side of the camera on a two-by-three inch piece of paper. The Z2300 doesn’t use actual ink, rather its own technology called Zink which is activated automatically. The paper costs $.50 per sheet in bulk, while the camera itself runs for a reasonable $169 and will ship in August.

Like Instagram, Pop Photo believes that the Polaroid is less about the quality of the images than the way they are presented.

“This thing is basically a novelty, which will be great at parties but less-than-great for an overall photographic experience,” the blog writes.

-------------------------------

Pretty, isn't it? My hands would look good with those between my fingers.

Times like this when I wish I was rich. Haha. But I'll come to that, I just have to study hard now and work harder later.

All different girls

By: Sabrina Smith

Pretty girl, who is to blame
Frightened girl, they don’t know her name
Saddened girl, who cries at night
Distant girl, who’s out of sight
Psycho girl, with scars on her wrists
Fairytale girl, who don’t exist
Silent girl, without a name
Ignored girl, who’s filled with shame
Faking girl, with plastic smiles
Freakish girl, from a thousand miles
Emotionless girl, cant feel much pain
Darkened girl, who brings the rain
Crying girl, tears start to flood
Psychotic girl, who drains her blood
Hated girl, who no one loves
Such a weak girl, who’s no longer though
Angry girl, there is no cure
Happy girl, she is no more
Hidden girl, she covers her scars
Prisoned girl, lived behind her life’s bars
Crazy girl, who bleeds so much
Lonely girl, who’s out of touch
Stupid girl, who no one likes
Beaten girl, who always fights
Pretty girl, don’t give up now
Suicide girl, there’s someway, somehow
Scared girl, don’t be afraid
Distant girl, don’t go away
Morbid girl, don’t die tonight
Worried girl, it'll be alright
Stoner girl, tonight she'll smoke her sorrow
Alcoholic girl, she'll drink tomorrow
Furious girl, who has no more faith
Depressed girl, who cries and aches
Fallen girl, with broken wings
Disturbed girl, fell off the swing
Pretty girl, you are my friend
Aching girl, just try to mend
Ugly girl, not like before
Beautiful girl, she is no more
Pretty girl, who made her life end
Pretty girl...no...Not again...

-----------------------

Just wanna share to you this simple but effective quote I just read somewhere over the net.

Which kind of different girl are you?

Date a Girl Who Reads

Read this post a while ago. Someone from my Facebook timeline posted it and it def caught my attention. Had to read it and share it with you lovely readers. :)

Read it first then I will tell you how I relate myself to it. Go on.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

“Date a girl who reads. Date a girl who spends her money on books instead of clothes. She has problems with closet space because she has too many books. Date a girl who has a list of books she wants to read, who has had a library card since she was twelve.

Find a girl who reads. You’ll know that she does because she will always have an unread book in her bag. She’s the one lovingly looking over the shelves in the bookstore, the one who quietly cries out when she finds the book she wants. You see the weird chick sniffing the pages of an old book in a second hand book shop? That’s the reader. They can never resist smelling the pages, especially when they are yellow.

She’s the girl reading while waiting in that coffee shop down the street. If you take a peek at her mug, the non-dairy creamer is floating on top because she’s kind of engrossed already. Lost in a world of the author’s making. Sit down. She might give you a glare, as most girls who read do not like to be interrupted. Ask her if she likes the book.

Buy her another cup of coffee.

Let her know what you really think of Murakami. See if she got through the first chapter of Fellowship. Understand that if she says she understood James Joyce’s Ulysses she’s just saying that to sound intelligent. Ask her if she loves Alice or she would like to be Alice.

It’s easy to date a girl who reads. Give her books for her birthday, for Christmas and for anniversaries. Give her the gift of words, in poetry, in song. Give her Neruda, Pound, Sexton, Cummings. Let her know that you understand that words are love. Understand that she knows the difference between books and reality but by god, she’s going to try to make her life a little like her favorite book. It will never be your fault if she does.

She has to give it a shot somehow.

Lie to her. If she understands syntax, she will understand your need to lie. Behind words are other things: motivation, value, nuance, dialogue. It will not be the end of the world.

Fail her. Because a girl who reads knows that failure always leads up to the climax. Because girls who understand that all things will come to end. That you can always write a sequel. That you can begin again and again and still be the hero. That life is meant to have a villain or two.

Why be frightened of everything that you are not? Girls who read understand that people, like characters, develop. Except in the Twilightseries.

If you find a girl who reads, keep her close. When you find her up at 2 AM clutching a book to her chest and weeping, make her a cup of tea and hold her. You may lose her for a couple of hours but she will always come back to you. She’ll talk as if the characters in the book are real, because for a while, they always are.

You will propose on a hot air balloon. Or during a rock concert. Or very casually next time she’s sick. Over Skype.

You will smile so hard you will wonder why your heart hasn’t burst and bled out all over your chest yet. You will write the story of your lives, have kids with strange names and even stranger tastes. She will introduce your children to the Cat in the Hat and Aslan, maybe in the same day. You will walk the winters of your old age together and she will recite Keats under her breath while you shake the snow off your boots.

Date a girl who reads because you deserve it. You deserve a girl who can give you the most colorful life imaginable. If you can only give her monotony, and stale hours and half-baked proposals, then you’re better off alone. If you want the world and the worlds beyond it, date a girl who reads.

Or better yet, date a girl who writes.”

I read it from this site by Rosemarie Urquico.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lovely, isn't it? :)

Maybe most of you know that I myself is a wide reader. I post a lot about books I buy, books I read and books I want to read.

Here, let me show you some of the books I arranged on my table yesterday.

While this is how it looks like now.

Let's go back to the article. It basically describes me. Like where it says about the proposal thingy. I seriously want my man to propose himself for me at a rock concert. That's my dream proposal. Totoo at walang harong biro. Someone on formspring already asked me what kind of proposal I want and I answered, at a rock concert. Because that totally rocks!

Plus the coffee and the books, it's so me. :)

And by the way, I also write. Hahaha. Besides my blog, I write fictions, but not that much. My first fiction isn't even half way. Still a beginner.

I am a certified girl-who-reads. Are you too?

My One Direction merch

I know I'm not like other fans here who have been with them since their X-Factor days and only became a One Direction fan since January 2012, but seriously, I am a very very very huge fan of these boys. I don't have to be with them from the start but I know that I can be with them until the end.

Drama much. Haha. You might not understand me like any other fan girls out there but these boys have a huge effect in my life. It may not be visible with the naked eye but they really do. And I am thankful for it. There's no room for me to deny how much I love these boys.

So anyways, I would just like to share my own One Direction merch. These are just some of the thousands of One Direction merch around the world. Besides these, what I really want to have are the One Direction dolls.

I got this One Direction Up All Night Yearbook edition CD from my cousins Kuya Bryan and Yoyo from the US. I blogged about it here.

I pre-ordered my copy of One Direction UAN DVD online from Astrovision.

And then I got these freebies from Astrovision! They didn't inform me that I am getting freebies, so I was surprised. Thank you Astrovision! :)

A One Direction dog tag.

Plus a huge One Direction Fan Party and DVD Launch poster. Yay!

Remember how I got these? You can find it here. I got this One Direction mini-standee and cd for free! Because I won a MYX online contest. Horaaah!

So far these are my One Direction merch.

Basically, I got everything for free besides the DVD. I hope I can get more free merch. Hahaha. :)) x

When I get to find more One Direction merch and have too much for myself, I might do a giveaway or a contest. You'd love that right? Wish me luck in finding more 1D merch! You might just have one for yourself for free!

Now that One Direction dolls. Can't wait to get my hands on you! Plus the 1D concert in the Philippines, can't wait! No announcement yet so far but I'm pretty sure that they'll do a concert here. The boys have been noticing a lot of Filipino fans on twitter lately. And that's a sign!

Now playing: I Wish - One Direction <333

I won from MYX!

One day, I read a tweet about MYX's contest for the Juan Directioners. As for me, I always join online contests, but I never win, not a single chance. So I told myself, why not? It's free to qualify and who knows? Among the thousands of screaming fans, I might win. But the chances are so low.

The question was pretty easy. They asked us to name the members of the band One Direction. I know right? Everyone is expected to know that.

I was the 5th to submit and enter the contest by the way. Haha. I think it was one April day when I joined.

One day, again, haha, May 30, I was at Metrobank with Mom to pay for Dad's credit card, my phone keep on vibrating. I don't want to look at it though cause we're inside a bank and I am not supposed to use it. But my Mom insists that I look at it that it might be something important. When I checked it, I got a message from MYX saying that I won a One Direction cd and a mini-standee. I almost screamed inside the bank but I got to hold myself. Hahaha. It would be so embarrassing.

Apparently, I have to claim my price by myself at their office. The allotted date and time of claiming is from June 5 to June 9 from 1 - 6pm. Their office is at ELJ communications building, Mother Ignacia St. Quezon City, 8th floor. I've never been there. This is another adventure, I told myself.

So today, after getting my papers done at UST, Mom and I went to ELJ to claim my prize. We had a few complications going to 8th floor because of the mataray ate at the front desk of ABS-CBN. I want to pull her fake eyelashes out! I was so pissed. Damn that girl.

But anyways, I got my prize. And that's what matters. :) x

Tadaaaa! I'm so happy! I am one happy One Direction fan. Yaaaay! This will be added to my One Direction merch-slash-collection. :) x

Thank you so much MYX! :)

And since we're already at the ABS-CBN building, we searched for the PBB house, ang bahay ni Kuya. Found it! I'm not a fan though but andito nako eh, why not? Picture lang naman eh.

What came in my mail today!

But before I show what I got, here's what I wore for today.  You might be thinking that I sound like a fashion blogger blogging about what I wore for a day, but naaah, I just have to include that to this post cause it's something really funny and random. Haha. So I went to UST today, wearing this! My old college uniform! I never thought that I'd wear it again. Bacc mass was the last or so I thought. :))

Going back, I was out of home the whole day today and when I got back at around 5:30 in the afternoon I have two mails!

First, I finally got my own mockingjay pin! Woohooo! I'm so into this uprising that I myself is already a rebel. If you know what I mean, if you read the book. Anyway, so hooked up with the Hunger Games trilogy that I have to buy my own mockingjay pin just like what Katniss have.

And it came with this simple box, thank you The Perfect White Shirt! :)

Another package was the Azkals shirt I ordered online for Kuya Bryan. Thank God they sent it to me before Mommy Malyn and Daddy Bobby leave for states. From the official Futbol Pilipinas clothing line...

Couldn't be any happier. :)
