Adios, 2020!

Anyeong! It's been more than a year since my last blog post. So for 2021's first day I decided to write. Just wanted to express and share how memorable 2020 was.

I still have a lot to work on since January is going to be a very busy month for me in terms of residency training so let me just do this before everything becomes a blur in the next few days.

I miss writing so much. I've never really had the chance to sit and chill with my laptop since residency training started. I usually just use it whenever I had to make a powerpoint presentation for a report or something or I had to design polcos or stickers but other than that the bond was never there. I really miss writing. I admit I'm not a very well versed person and I'm a self proclaimed introvert but I tend to share stuff here in my blog preferably.

The year 2020 has been one of the most memorable ones. I bet to you as well. How was it with me?

First of all, was the pandemic that changed the entire earth into topsy turvy. Flights were cancelled, vacation trips were postponed, conferences were on hold, gatherings were prohibited, close interactions with other people were not allowed. In other words, things we usually or normally do were halted.

No one predicted that a virus can change our lives. Just the simple dining out was prohibited and people started wearing face masks which we usually only see during surgical operations inside the operating room, now everyone is wearing them. People were scared. People were frightened of the unknown. COVID 19 was new and was a different kind of enemy.

In my first year of residency training I never expected to face this kind of pandemic. What was originally planned and expected of our first yr of training were all changed. We didn't get to see the cases we should be seeing and we were faced with something we can't see as well. It was a whole new level of battle. But despite the threat this virus has given us, I'm glad I was able to stick around. I was planning on quitting training around mid April to May due to the increasing cases and I was really scared but I tried to hold on. I'm very thankful first and foremost for my family who had been there for me. They encouraged me to go on even though some of them made me want to quit also haha. And to my colleagues, especially my batchmates, who never left and was always encouraging as well. There were duty days where I was crying by myself already because I don't know what to do anymore. I think Dad was guiding me as well :)

This is one of my photos in my PPE early in April when COVID was just starting.

For the second part, was my obsession with Haikyu. I'm not really a fan of anime but I'm a huge huge fan of the sports volleyball. So when I got sick around August, I was bedbound and had nothing to do. I wasn't in the mood to study since my head is hurting like hell and I'm burning in fever, so I just lie down the whole day, when I decided to try to watch Haikyu on Netflix. I've been hearing about it for some quite time already but never gave it a try. So when I started watching it, it was love at first sight. I was able to finish the whole 4 seasons in just a week and was able to finish 4 seasons for 6 times every week. And I was so happy when the final 13 episodes of the 4th season were released in October.

As a huge fan girl, and if you knew me really well, I bought a lot of merch related to Haikyuu. I first bought a volleyball since mine was deflated and had no chance of being played again. I bought stickers, of course, of Haikyuu, made my own stickers and printed them and all sorts of stationery items related to Haikyuu. I was head over heels over an anime I know are not even real. Haha. I was so hooked really. I had to watch at least 1 episode everyday even on my duty days, that's how obsessed I was.

My planner even became Haikyuu themed. Yea those were the days.

But then BTS came into my life. HAHAHA. I won't forget the day that I discovered them. I'll probably do a separate post behind this haha. But I'm head over heels, over the top in love with them right now! I'M OBSESSED! My fan girl level has reached 9999999999x. I never fan girled like this since my One Direction obsession days haha. I was never a fan of KPop and I never thought that I'd like them but these boys changed my life. I swear to God I'll never like any other KPop group other than BTS. They're my first love and definitely my last. And speaking of first love, it was love at first sight when I first saw Taehyung. He's my angel. charaught haha. I love him so much! He's the best thing that has happened to me and my biggest blessing for 2020. BTS is my biggest 2020 plot twist. Right before the year ends they came into my life and made me very happy .These boys gave me so much hope and happiness. Their songs are very catchy and meaningful and their videos are very fun to watch. They make me laugh so hard and makes me fall in love with them so much more.

Currently I have tons of BTS merch in a span of 1 month. Sorry that's just how I really fan girl. And there's definitely more to come. I haven't watched the entire RUN BTS episodes but I'm currently obsessing with BTS In the Soop episodes. I love how normal these boys are in real life. Especially my love, my Taehyung, he's soooo dreamyyy. Anyway, enough with that. I'll just do a separate blog dedicated for my boys coz I think they deserve it.

Soooo that was quite a lengthy entry for today. Hope you were entertained for a while. I'll try my best to be more active here. So long!

Saranghae,
Tintin B <3

All hail the Queen!

Ever since I saw the movie Bohemian Rhapsody last November, I'm all about Queen.

If there's one thing I shouldn't forget about 2018, it is this movie. It made me realize that I really belong to this kind of music or genre. I've always been a rock band fan. I listen to their music even before the movie came out but I got to appreciate them more as a band after seeing it on screen. The movie really deserved that Golden Globe award. Way to go guys!

And ever since seeing the movie, I've been listening to their songs on full repeat. I actually made a playlist on Spotify so I can loop them all day loooong. If I were to pick my top 3 most played song it would be Radio Ga Ga, Bohemian Rhapsody and We Are the Champions.

If you've seen the movie, then you'll know that at the end of it was their Live Aid 1985 concert. While at the cinema it felt like you were actually in a concert. The sound system was brilliant. My mom even gave a standing ovation after the movie. Hahaha. It really felt like a real concert. Anyway, I found a copy of the real Queen Live Aid full concert on youtube and I think I've watched this movie for 6 times already with full speakers on haha so I can feel the music and the people singing like it was real. Attaching the copy here from youtube.

Ayooo! Haha. Grabe yung concert noh? But have you noticed that the people were raising their hands the entire time you wouldn't see a single camera or phone up on air? Now that's feeling and enjoying a concert at its finest.

Comment below your thoughts about Queen or the movie. Or anything you'd like to share :)

Thank you for reading!

Taylor Swift's 1989 album feedback

Can't help but feel more love for Taylor Swift's new album 1989. Every lyric, every tune, every beat is so perfect. Every song is different and each has a unique message.

Started listening to the songs right after the album was out on iTunes about a week ago and I almost memorize all the lyrics already. Haha! Why is it so hard to memorize drugs and diseases when it is this easy to memorize song lyrics just by listening to them again and again? Oh the irony of life. But can't argue with that.

I don't know if you guys noticed it but I've been tweeting a lot of TS 1989 lyrics since her album came out, like A LOT OF LYRICS. So don't get me wrong if I tweet deep quotes or stuff, they're just lyrics. Haha. I tweet to much lyrics all the time anyway. Don't take them personally. :P

I just thought that I have to share the top 5 songs that I liked best from her 1989 album, though I like EACH AND EVERY SONG, I have to pick my top 5, though I have to admit I'm having a hard time trimming my list because I. LIKE. EVERYTHING.

BLANK SPACE

For me, this song is like taking a risk for a new love. Taylor's like asking, will this be a forever forever or the one that will burn with flames kind of love? But I don't care let's just go for it kind of.

This song hits me fast like how a bullet hits you. The first time I heard it, I knew right then that this will be my favorite 1989 single. Not only that this is my favorite 1989 song, this song is now on my list for one-of-my-all-time-favorite-songs. Yay! This shall be next to Paramore's That's What You Get :)

Too much feels on this song. I think I listened to this song more than 50 times already since I first heard it. Yup. It's on repeat right now.

Favorite line from the song: You're the King baby, I'm your Queen.

ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS STAY

Word. This is Taylor singing for the typical girls out there who were left out by stupid guys who left for undefined reasons. Hey guys, let me tell you a little secret, girls tend to be "emotional" at times but sometimes you have to accept that and just be there for them. And they would appreciate that. But once you lost that trust, she'll be gone forever before you even know it.

Favorite line from the song: All you had to do was stay, had me in the palm of your hand then why'd you had to go and lock me out when I let you in.

STYLE

I read somewhere that Taylor composed this song inspired by Harry Styles. Which if you have time to read the lyrics, are of good things and not of bitterness naman. It's a different TS song like a Miami-vice kind of ambiance, very Harry Styles style. And when you listen to the lyrics, they practically describes Harry.

Favorite line from the song: You got that James Dean day dream look in your eyes.

HOW YOU GET A GIRL

This one's a slow pop song I think, with its fast beat and all. It's a song she made for her guy fans like Taylor's teaching them how they can get a girl that they like and telling them how would it be like losing a girl that you like.

Favorite line from the song: I want you for worse or for better. I would wait forever and ever. Broke your heart, I'll put it back together.

YOU ARE IN LOVE

I love how chill this song starts. It's like you're inside a shelter beside a river and you can hear the water running while you're alone with the one you love. And just by listening to it, you'll feel in love even though you really are not. And there's a part somewhere near the ending where it feels so magical like I can imagine two people who are unaware of what they feel between each other suddenly felt each other's sparks. So lovely! <3

Taylor describes the feelings and emotions one would feel when you're in love. If the things she said here basically describes what you feel right now, then I think you're in love too. And go for it! You only have like what few years to live and you'll just let it slip away? Take the chance! Take the risk!

Favorite line from the song: You can hear it in the silence. You can feel it on the way home. You can see it with the lights out.

I don't know man but her songs are like my source of oxygen right now. I. LOVE. THEM. TOO. MUCH.

PS.
I was supposed to attach a lyric video of the songs from youtube but youtube won't let them play. Anyway, just youtube them and listen to them coz they're all perfect! :)

The title says it all. My blog's all boring na so I just had to post one para mabuhay naman kahit konti.

Before I blog about the Catching Fire movie, which I hope will be very soon, let me share to you guys some songs I listen to most of the time since the past few weeks. Plus, malay niyo you might like it. Pandagdag din sa playlist mo. Hihi.

New songs for this last friday of the month

Which means yellow day sa educ kanina! I'm not sure though if until ngayon they still practice that. Pero I saw a lot of students in yellow kanina, so probably they still do.

I don't know if the title of this post can give justice to the main content, but whatever. Can't think of any appropriate one. All I can think of right now kasi is you eh. Ayy. <3

Sorry, I'm so sabog right now. Hahaha. Nakakabaliw talaga mag-aral. All I've been doing for the past 2 weeks is studying! Chos!

But what I really want to share on this blog post are the songs I've been listening to lately. I know it's exams week but a music-lover like me gotta do what I gotta do!

1) Boomerang - The Summer Set
I'm a huuuge fan of this very hot band The Summer Set, plus their drummer Jess Bowen, yes she's a girl, is half-Filipina. Horay! Idol! Kaya nalang I've always wanted to play the drums and be in a band. And I do love their bassist, Stephen Gomez <3 If you want to listen more The Summer Set songs, I suggest you listen to these: Passenger Seat, Chelsea and Punch Drunk Love.

2) Still Into You - Paramore
Can't get over how beautiful this song is. Paramore is just so there! I love you guys. And Hayley. I also listen to their upcoming single, Ain't It Fun, quite the cool one. :)

3) We Can't Stop - Miley Cyrus
I love the song, not the singer, not the music video and don't even begin with the VMA performance. Just the song. LSS for a couple of days too. La da di da di. PS, that's why I'm posting an audio instead of the official music video.

4) Chinito - Yeng Constantino
I'm not a fan of Yeng, but I find this song very catchy and playful. I'm also not a fan of chinito's. Hihi. Really it's just the song that caught my music-lover heart.

5) Treasure - Bruno Mars
All hail Bruno Mars! Huge huge fan here! Always been a follower of his music. Great tunes all the time! This song wakes me up when I feel antok na from studying. Konting pampagising lang. :)

Yan! May bago nanaman kayong mga kantang pwedeng ilagay sa mga iPod niyo. Help yourselves! And you're welcome.

You can tambay here in my blog while you listen to these. :) Enjoy!

Okay, balik aral nanaman. :P

In between breaks

Before anything else, how's everyone doing? Don't ask me cause I'm barely getting enough rest. It's our first long exam week and all the study load is stressing me out! I've never had a study load this heavy in my college years that's why I'm having such a hard time. This is what I get for not having a proper science course as pre-med. Oh well, my ranting shall end here.

So, to help me relieve just a bit of stress, I do in between breaks while I study. As far as I can remember, from one of my prof. ed courses in educ years back, every individual has their own learning span and learning limitation. In between this span, we tend to divert our attention to something more "active" and to do something that isn't related to what you are studying.

And as for me, I usually listen to music to keep me awake after every learning span. I am sharing to you some of the songs I currently listen to. This list comprises the songs I listened to for the past week up to the present, especially when I was studying biochemistry yesterday cause it was one damn of a subject.

This list will not be in order on how many times I've listened to it or how much I like listening to it. It'll be in random as I am browsing my iPod as I type these.

1. Mirrors - Justin Timberlake
2. Love On Top - Beyonce
3. Heart Attack - Demi Lovato
4. Right Now - Rihanna ft. David Guetta

Let's all match pitch

Have you seen the movie Pitch Perfect? Everyone's been talking about it so why don't we give it a try!

My sister and I had the chance to see it last Tuesday night because we didn't have school last Wednesday. So anyway. We've been so curious about this movie for quite a number of weeks already that's why we really need to see it. Immediately.

And viola! It really is worth the watch. Even worth a 100000x watch! I've been seeing a lot of tweets from people that they're watching Pitch Perfect for the 4th time and the like. I mean with a feedback like that who wouldn't get curious right?

Plus if you're a huge music lover (who isn't anyway), this movie is a must-seen for you. For me it was perfect, just from the title itself though.

Here's the trailer of the movie just in case you got curious too.

Right after you watch this movie, I'm sure you'll find yourself listening to their songs on YouTube. And later you'll even download them. =p

It's just the Saturday evening! You might want to watch it later or tomorrow. Enjoy! :)

If you have seen it, what can you say about it?

Golden hits!

Check out my blog's current hits, it's over 50K! Wohooo! Thank you so much for visiting my blog even if I don't update it much these days.

I actually just made this blog post to celebrate my 50K hits, nothing special feature really. But since you are reading this and someone else might be reading this, let me share to you the top 5 songs I've been listening to this past few days.

1. Raspberry Girl - Chicosci
I'm a HUGE Chicosci fan! Just in case you don't know yet. Here's their newest single! Can't wait for the music video!

2. Locked Out of Heaven - Bruno Mars
My new feel good song! Every time I listen to it everything suddenly feels good. Ganda lang ng beat!

3. They Don't Know About Us - One Direction
My favorite song from their new album Take Me Home. Those voices. Damn.

4. Kiss You - One Direction
Their newest single! Plus their new music video! I love how the music video doesn't have any girls in it. Just 5 boys being themselves. Best mv yet. :)

5. Pitch Perfect Soundtrack - Various Artists
Been so curious with the movie Pitch Perfect since the Christmas break. And last Tuesday, I was able to see it. Finally! Now I know what the fuss is all about. Will do a separate blog about it soon. :) Here's a complete soundtrack from the movie. Love it so much! <333

Once again, thank you for ever visiting my blog. Sound trip lang tayo. :)

Thank you thank you thank you! <3

Best of Oh-Twelve

I must say, 2012 has been one of the best years for me! A lot of things happened and here are the top 12 events that made it worth it.

PS. Some of the titles are linked to the blogs I posted about it before. :)

1) Be a Teacher
It was such an overwhelming experience to be able to fulfill a noble profession even for a while. In other words, nakakataba ng puso. Sobra. :)

2) Graduate college with a bachelor degree
All 4 years in college paid of! This is for you Mom and Dad! :)

3) Family trip to Vigan and Caramoan
Because we were not able to do this last year. This the year for it!

4) Opening Green Berries
I had online shops before way back in my first year in college but none of them lasts like this one. I'm so happy I opened Green Berries. It continues to help me seek other opportunities and options where to get money from when I need it the most. And I really love and enjoy what I'm doing!

5) Winning MYX's One Direction CD giveaway
I also learned about One Direction this year, around early of January 2012. And I've been a huge fan since then! That every One Direction giveaway I see, I make sure I will have an entry. Thankfully, I won this one from MYX! Thank you so much for the CD and the mini standee! Love it so much!

6) Entering the College of Science
I'm so used to people asking me what year I am in already and I tell them the story behind it over and over again, that I'm attending school just so I could go into med school and that I already graduated. But nonetheless, a first semester in the College of Science was fun and very challenging for a Math-lover like me.

7) Attend concerts
In this year alone, I was able to attend 5 concerts! That's a new record for me! Usually I only get to attend 2 though, but not this year. It all started with Simple Plan last January, the story behind Jet Lag. Then lots of bands with the Smash Project last March, all thanks to Thea! One of the biggest parties of the year with LMFAO at their Party Rock tour in Manila with my siblings. Barbie-ed with Nicki Minaj last July with my sister Jaja. Right after Nicki was David Cook with my Ninang Pyay for the second time. 2012 was really a concert filled year for me. :)

Simple Plan

The Used - Smash Project

Dashboard Confessional - Smash Project

Cobra Starship - Smash Project

The Cab - Smash Project

LMFAO

Nicki Minaj

David Cook

8) Have my first talk about photography
Who would have thought! Who would have thought that my passion in photography will take me this far? I know! Hahaha. :))

9) Passing the LET
Right after graduation, everyone's been so excited and thrilled about the upcoming board exam for teachers which is called LET. My first plan was to review for LET and start studying science on the 2nd sem, but instead I just went to school and didn't devote any time to review for LET. But thank God, with all my heart, I was able to pass it without the effort of reviewing. What an early Christmas gift!

10) UST grabbing the PCCL Championship
I was in 3rd year high school when UST grabbed its last UAAP champion against Ateneo. In this year's UAAP basketball, we were almost there and were just a bit short. But the team was able to bounce back at the PCCL tournament and won the championship. I'm so happy I was able to witness this win!

Thank you Coach Dopids!

11) Meet new friends
And they're all younger than me! Yung age ko paurong eh! Hahaha. Love you girls! :)

12) Read a lot of books
Another record broken for 2012, the year where I read the most number of books in a year. Woohoo! Yay for 2012! This the year where my being a bookworm grew. The year where I bought a lot of books and the year where I read a lot of books.

And a lot lot more 2012 events that are worth sharing! But these will do. :)

Best year so far, right? And I'm on my way to make 2013 even better!

What's the best thing that happened to you in 2012?
