The LMFAO concert was one of the concerts that I don't wanna miss. Unfortunately, I miss their first visit here in the Philippines. I was in second year college back then I guess, can't really remember, but I know I had classes the day after that's why I wasn't able to go to their concert.
But this 2012, I will not surely miss this once in a lifetime opportunity.
April 11, 2012. 2 days after we arrive from our Vigan trip. I and my sibings Jaja and Jessie went to the LMFAO concert in Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
I heard that it was going to be a huge party party concert. There was even a memo that we have to be ready to get wet. But we didn't coz we weren't at the front rows.
They didn't have any front acts. It was them right from the start. Too bad, only Redfoo was there and Skyblue was sick. Thus the LMFAO concert was not that fulfilling. If one of the LMFAO dudes is absent, party rocking is not satisfied.
Nevertheless, the concert was hellafun. I got on my feet the whole time and was dancing like I'm in a club. Yeah I miss that feeling. So thanks to LMFAO and their super duper duper awesome dancers! I envy these dancers so much! They're so good!
Here's a mini-clip that I did which shows some of the songs they played. I cut a lot of scenes though so it will not be that long. Enjoy!
One of our requirements for our Math SemTech is to produce an instructional video based on the topic we're assigned to. Our group was assigned to Geometry. Sounds easy yea? A little bit. Haha.
We decided to do an "adventure" type of instructional video from the likes of Pokemon and named it Pokegon. Instead of the normal Pokemons playing the role of the Pokemons, in our case the different polygons and solid figures will represent as the Pokemons known as the Pokegons. Clever, I know. It was Addam's idea.
I think I don't need to tell everything but here's our intro clip. The whole file is really huge and I'm still thinking of how I can compress it though. Nonetheless, enjoy this clip!
I was busy watching I.aM.mE dance crew's videos on youtube. They were the grand winner of Randy Jackson's America's Best Dance Crew or ABDC season 6, the latest winner so far.
I have to admit that I have this girly girl crush on Chachi Gonzales, the youngest member of the crew. She's only 15! She dances really really really and I mean totally really absolutely good! She's looks so pretty too! Not to mention her hair. Man please, I want her hair!
Their crew really deserved to win the competition. They're really good! And very unique too! You see their choreography is very up-to-date and very catchy. It's like you don't even want to blink while watching them dance. They're really just so good! I love watching them dance. Hands down.
So I'm posting here my top 5 favorite I.aM.mE performances during the competition.
5. Last challenge III-Elemental. For me it shows who I.aM.mE crew is. I love how each element represent each member of the crew. I love water!
4. The Black Eyed Peas challenge. They danced to BEP's Meet Me Halfway. I love the robot part! And that effin cool ending.
3. The Nicki Minaj challenge. Danced to Moment 4 Life. Simple choreography but very catchy. I love how they end the routine with Chachi and the swing <3
2. The Rihanna challenge. Danced to S&M. Chachiiiiii! She's the man, no, she's spider woman! They're beyond awesome! I definitely love the first part where Chachi stepped on the boys and they were sliding and something. So cool!
1. The Kanye West challenge. A mixture of isos, boogaloo and dougie. My top fave! I love the way they turned dougie in their own way. And their boomerang ending, worth a standing ovation! Hands down!
The truth is, I love all their performances. I love them all equally! They're just so good at everything. Just like what JC Chasez said, I love everything about this crew. I second that!
Here's Chachi and Moon dancing to Bang. I love this dance! I'd do anything to learn this choreo. I'm on my way! :)
I hope they'll consider visiting the Philippines too. I'd love to see them dance live, just like the Jabawokeez.
I was watching this tutorial video of Lauren Young on how to do a smokey eye when I found myself watching tons of videos on youtube already!
I always hear Ate Laurence yapping about smokey eye but I really haven't had the chance to see how it looked like. That's why I got all giddy to watch Lauren's video.
After watching Lauren's video, I busied myself watching different kinds of video on youtube.
Thought of sharing some of the videos I enjoyed watching.
1. Dance choreos
Moment 4 Life - Nicki Minaj
Mr. Saxobeat - Alexandra Stan
On the Floor - Jennifer Lopez
Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5 - my fave among these
2. Hair tutorials
Donut hair by Tricia Gosingtian
Simple Curly Side by Tricia Gosingtian - I will try this some time! :)
One-side-up bow by Ericka - this is so cool and easy!
C. Inlove more than ever with Simple Plan. A huge fan since the "Addicted, Perfect and I'm Just A Kid" days.
Astronaut, their newest single. This video just came out 2 weeks ago. Make room for Simple Plan!
And my current favorite-slash-theme song, JET LAG! Been stuck in my head for the rest of the week already. Hahaha. YOU SAY GOOD MORNING WHEN IT'S MIDNIGHT!!! LSS for the whole week already. Ahuh.
And their first ever music video, Addicted. This never gets old.
Plus a lot lot more Simple Plan music videos, concerts and guest appearances. Love love!
Was browsing through Twitter and found this link about Harry Potter. You know how fast my eyes work the instant I see the words "Harry Potter." Immediately clicked the link and found this video that goes with it.
I have to say, it was a brilliant ending. Genius.
What if JK Rowling did think of that? Snape didn't die and went back to the past and killed Tom Riddle the day Dumbledore asked him to come to Hogwarts. What if?
I think the part where Snape turned the Time-Turner 200,000+ times was funny. Hahaha. It should have took him days before he was able to finish turning. Haha.
And that part where Snape shot Voldemort with a gun. Wizards and guns? Funny! Hahaha.
It's kinda funny though but it could mean a lot.
All you Harry Potter fans out there, what can you say? Or do you have any alternative ending?
If you really know me personally, then you must know that Paramore is my all-time favorite band.
And if you know me deep, I mean really really really know me, then you must know that That's What You Get by Paramore is my all-time favorite song.
Yupyup! Paramore all the way!
Never get tired listening to this song. May it be the original one or the acoustic version, never gets old.
Today, I was like having those one-of-the-worst-days-ever feeling. So I had to listen to Paramore to help me get by. I don't want to end the day feeling like that though.
Listening to Paramore makes everything better! It's like their music can hypnotize me with just one strung of the guitar, one note of Hayley's voice and one beat of the drums.
So I have to share to you guys one of my favorite acoustic version of That's What You Get, performed on MTV plugged.
I have to admit, I miss Josh and Zac Farro. Paramore will never be the same without them. But I'm still happy that Hayley, Taylor and Jeremy continued to perform music even after the Farro brothers left the band.
I can't wait to see them live again!
So anyways. Just sharing this random thought and also spreading the good vibes.
Spent the whole Saturday with my relatives. Celebrated my youngest cousin's birthday, Julia Marie V. Caringal at Max's Chicken at Timog.
I seriously miss being a kid! Hahaha. I even sat on this small chair that the little ones were using. I was a part of the kids crowd. So much for being a desperate kid again. Haha.
More than anything else, I loved the balloons! Too much of them! It felt like the 90's where I get to attend to a lot of children's party with lots of balloons. It felt like that!
Looking forward for more children's party in the future! :)
Guess I was all tamad last week to make a blog post about our splendid retreat.
And still tamad to do so, instead I made a 3-minute and 18-second clip of my photos from our retreat.
Let's talk about the experience.
I was so stoke to go to the venue already because Caleruega was the place I chose for me and Miggy to have our wedding. Project thingy. And tada! I was there. Tinay was there! And I'm with the whole BSE family. :)
From my past retreat experiences, I can say that retreats never failed to make me cry. And this retreat didn't prove me wrong.
Everything was so solemn. I love the place! Nature forever calms me down. I second that.
Half of my life belongs to Harry Potter. 10 years! I'll always love you Harry Potter.
Tim Yap posted this video on twitter and found myself watching it.
Can't believe that it will all end very soon.
What really made me cry was when Alan said, "Boys and girls of Hogwarts,it’s time to say goodbye to two of your finest Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers" Which only means, it's time to say goodbye to Hogwarts. :((
Hagrid saying goodbye to everyone with a big vow.
Bellatrix giving everyone a round of applause.
When Ron enumerated the things he will miss about Harry Potter, the people, the place and everything about it. And he said, "It has been 10 years."
When Hermoine said, "I couldn't put it into words." Especially when she said, "We were the chosen one. We were." *sobs all over*
When Harry stood to everyone and thanked every one of them that Harry Potter has always been a part of him.
And lastly, when Harry, Hermoine and Ron were hugging one another. And a clip of them from HP1 to HP7. AWWWWWWWWWWW. There goes my childhood.
HARRY POTTER, YOU'LL ALWAYS AND FOREVER BE IN MY HEART.
Been listening to the song since this morning. Was first introduced to me by Aya. It's a mixture of tagalog and the chavacano dialect. Chavacano is a dialect in Zamboanga which is very similar to Spanish.
Full tagalog version of this song is also found in YouTube. But I prefer the tagalog-chavacano version, the original.
Actually I kinda relate myself to the lyrics. Haha. See it for yourself nalang! :))
While reading this post, you may want to listen to this song. :)
Before our summer class ends, Aya and I together with Anne went to Tali beach at Nasugbu Batangas last Sunday.
It was an IRAYA outing and we couldn't in the world resist it. Though it may seems to be the only time for us to relax from our everyday class-stress.
We left Manila at 7 in the morning that day. The three of us plus Ate Kathy stayed at the back of the van. And for the almost 3 hours of driving, we had so much fun! We were laughing and pointing insults to each other, without offending each other of course.
Arrived the vicinity around 10am. It was a private rest house of Ate Kathy's friend. They aren't present though. The place was very lovely! Everything was so accommodating. There was even a mini pool where you can swim if you don't want to go to the beach.
The second story was closed so we weren't able to steal a look at it. The first floor's okay anyway.
Spent the morning taking photos with Aya and Anne. Before lunch, we divert ourselves to entertain ourselves. We had two games, first one's the pass the water. It goes like this, there are 4 players per team lining up from the pool to the container, the one near the pool have to fetch water using only her bare hands and pass it on until the last player and the last player will fill the container with the amount of water left passed on her. The team with the most water wins. And our team won! Yay!
Second game, it was like a maze but I forgot what they call it. Anyway, there's a maze composed of bottles, rocks and etc. Two among the players will walk through it while the other two will guide them since the first two players are blind-folded. They have to cross the maze without stepping on any of the stones and bottles until they reach the finish line. Each stone or bottle stepped on will be deducted from the perfect score. We lose this game. Booo.
Now it's time for lunch! :)
And we're off to the beach!
Under the heat of the angry sun.
And take a closer look at this photo. You can tell me if I'm wrong ah, but I think this is where the Babaeng Hampaslupa teleserye on TV5 shoot one of their first scenes, right? Yeah, I think so.
Stayed at the beach until 2:30 because we have to leave by 3:30 in the afternoon.
Arrived Manila around 8:40 in the evening. There was a huge traffic in Tagaytay that caused our late arrival.
I arrived home around 9:30 in the evening. And found myself sleeping at 10:50. #justsharing
We had soooooooooooooo muuuuuuuuuuuuch fun! Another successful adventure with Aya and first with Anne. In other words, more to come!
Thank you Aya and Anne for the great and wonderful accompany.
Thank you IRAYA for the unforgetable experience.
Thank you UP friends for being very friendly.
Thank you Lord for keeping us safe.
Waking up at 8:30 on a saturday is too early for me. Ugh.
My first tweet today. And most of my co-student-teachers were tweeting the same thing. They keep on saying that it's too lazy to go to school on a saturday. Wherein we are supposed to have our rest on saturdays and sundays since we go to school from monday to friday for summer class.
Today, we had our first seminar for UBD.
To you people who don't know what UBD is, it means Understanding By Design. It's like a lesson plan but instead of everyday plan it's a unit plan and is a backward design. The performance of the students are taken into first before the specific knowledge. Are we getting something here?
First day, meaning introduction to everything about UBD.
Our speaker and showman: Prof. Allan B. de Guzman, Ph. D.
Who would have thought that the seminar was like watching a comedy show? Seriously. We were laughing our as* off for the whole 4 hours. Up to the point that I can feel tears of joy and I really have to get hold of my hanky. Funny. Haha.
It only proves that learning is fun.
Now that's something to look forward to on saturdays. :)
What really caught my attention was the "Google vs Gugol" thing. I am an internet-web-person and it really was interesting. I was thinking like, "Oo nga noh!"
And here's how Sir Allan ended our today's session. I got it on a 0:34 seconds video clip!
I actually did learn something. And I'm sure that it'll be a huge help for me when I go to practicum next school year.
To tell you guys the truth, I really don't want to become a teacher. No kidding. But. I can consider teaching. I mean what's wrong with sharing what you have and know, right? I will take LET and, hopefully, pass it. I will still teach, don't worry. This 4 years of college in Educ won't go to waste. I swear. :)
I was supposed to write this blog last night but 2 of my blockmates stayed for the night here at my place, so, I wasn't able to. But, here I am, blogging!
MARCH 9, 2010. MOA CONCERT GROUNDS.
It has been a year since my first Paramore concert! Hopefully not my first and last though.
Paramore is my favorite band of all time.(You don't know me if you don't know that.) I've never wanted a band like them, ever. Not that Hayley's really pretty and sings so good and all, but the band itself, I love them! Their songs have been one of my inspirations. Until now they continue to inspire me.
The time I heard that Paramore will have a concert here in Manila, no second thoughts, I HAVE TO GO TO THAT PARAMORE CONCERT. First and last thought. Since then, that Paramore concert is the best concert I've been to. Nothing more, nothing less.
I had the time of life that night. I was singing at the top of my lungs. Never thought that I'd be able to sing Paramore songs together with Hayley live. I must say, BEST NIGHT EVER.
I spent my own money to buy the 4k Paramore ticket. That's how desperate I am to see the band of my dreams!
Who would have thought that after a year I still can't get over of what happened. I remember every single detail of what happened that night.
All the screaming. PARAMORE! PARAMORE! HAYLEY! HAYLEY! That band. That girl. Everything about them is to be loved.
I'm pretty sure that they'll consider coming back here in Manila, what do you say? :)
I have my own copy of videos on that night, and here is where Paramore sang my favorite Paramore song, That's What You Get. And bare with it cause I was busy singing my favorite Paramore song. I got all starstruck!
And here are some of the shots I made. I used only my digital camera cause SLR's are not allowed inside the concert vicinity.
My first shot of Hayley!
WE ARE PARAMORE!!!
Meet my idol, Hayley Williams!
Taylor York.
Justin York, Taylor's brother. Too bad Josh wasn't here.
Jeremy Davis.
And Zac Farro.
PARAMORE!
And a whole lot more! I badly want to see them live again. Next time! There will be a next time!
