New songs for this last friday of the month

Which means yellow day sa educ kanina! I'm not sure though if until ngayon they still practice that. Pero I saw a lot of students in yellow kanina, so probably they still do.

I don't know if the title of this post can give justice to the main content, but whatever. Can't think of any appropriate one. All I can think of right now kasi is you eh. Ayy. <3

Sorry, I'm so sabog right now. Hahaha. Nakakabaliw talaga mag-aral. All I've been doing for the past 2 weeks is studying! Chos!

But what I really want to share on this blog post are the songs I've been listening to lately. I know it's exams week but a music-lover like me gotta do what I gotta do!

1) Boomerang - The Summer Set
I'm a huuuge fan of this very hot band The Summer Set, plus their drummer Jess Bowen, yes she's a girl, is half-Filipina. Horay! Idol! Kaya nalang I've always wanted to play the drums and be in a band. And I do love their bassist, Stephen Gomez <3 If you want to listen more The Summer Set songs, I suggest you listen to these: Passenger Seat, Chelsea and Punch Drunk Love.

2) Still Into You - Paramore
Can't get over how beautiful this song is. Paramore is just so there! I love you guys. And Hayley. I also listen to their upcoming single, Ain't It Fun, quite the cool one. :)

3) We Can't Stop - Miley Cyrus
I love the song, not the singer, not the music video and don't even begin with the VMA performance. Just the song. LSS for a couple of days too. La da di da di. PS, that's why I'm posting an audio instead of the official music video.

4) Chinito - Yeng Constantino
I'm not a fan of Yeng, but I find this song very catchy and playful. I'm also not a fan of chinito's. Hihi. Really it's just the song that caught my music-lover heart.

5) Treasure - Bruno Mars
All hail Bruno Mars! Huge huge fan here! Always been a follower of his music. Great tunes all the time! This song wakes me up when I feel antok na from studying. Konting pampagising lang. :)

Yan! May bago nanaman kayong mga kantang pwedeng ilagay sa mga iPod niyo. Help yourselves! And you're welcome.

You can tambay here in my blog while you listen to these. :) Enjoy!

Okay, balik aral nanaman. :P

10/50

Before anything else, I want to inform you, as the one reading this, that I am blogging through my iPad which I think is so cool! Hahaha. I think this is the first time I ever used my iPad to blog using the Blogger app. Coz you see, it's been 2 months since my laptop was under repair. I'm really having a hard time updating my blog without any laptop to use. I find it also very hard to study without my laptop with me. But nevertheless, kung ayaw may dahilan, kung gusto may paraan. So here I am! Hoping that this post looks normal in the windows view.

If you've been a constant reader of my blog, you must know that I looooooove reading and that I have a 50-book goal for this year, according to my Goodreads. Sad to say, as of today, I only got to finish 10 books. Awwwww. Which obviously declares a huge failure on my goal. Another awwwww.

Less than 5 months before the year ends again and I'm 40 books behind my goal. If I am decided  to accomplish this goal, I should finish 8 books in a month, which I think will never happen. I have medschool to attend to and medschool is no joke at all.

To update my current reads, here's a cropped screen shot from my Goodreads of the 10 books I got to finish this year so far, from January 2013 to August 2013.

And I've decided to change my goal from 50 books to 15-20 books. 50 is very impossible for me right now. There are more other things I should prioritize besides reading books. But I will never in a million years stop reading. :)

Current read: Before I Fall - Lauren Oliver

The Summer I Turned Pretty

This book has been on my shelf for a long time already but I haven't had the chance to read it yet. Well, not until now.

It is actually a Jenny Han Trilogy, the first one's The Summer I Turned Pretty, It's Not Summer Without You being the second and We'll Always Have Summer for the last book. The first time I saw this book was at Fully Booked SM North Edsa. I didn't buy it that time coz I just bought a box set and I don't have enough money with me. Good thing National Bookstore went on sale a couple of weeks after then I got to buy the trilogy already.

Last Tuesday night, I started reading this book. I only got to read the first chapter because I was so sleepy already but I badly want to start reading it already. I tried my best to fight my eyes but sadly I didn't win. Haha. But last night, I got so hooked up to it! That within 3-4 hours I was able to finish the whole book! I'm not really a fast reader. I can finish a book within 1 to 2 weeks whether I'm busy or not. But not this one.

Enough with me blabbering. Here's a short summary of the book. It might interest someone you know. Go ahead.

Belly’s never been the kind of girl that things happen to. Year after year, she’s spent her summers at the beach house with Conrad and Jeremiah. The boys never noticed Belly noticing them. And every summer she hoped it would be different. This time, it was. But the summer Belly turned pretty was the summer that changed everything. For better, and for worse.

I don't know with you but I loved it. It was my kind of book. Books like this are my kind of thing, very chick lit, I know. It's the typical teenage love triangle plot over summer, but there's a twist! It's kind of like a family thing. You know how teenage love lasts during summers right? They even call it as "summer fling" like all relationships that started during summer are all plain flings. But I highly doubt it. You can never have too many summers where all relationships are just flings. Sometimes it is true love. Just like what Belly had for Conrad.

Blah blah blah. You know what I loved most about this book? I kind of like relate myself to it. That's it! That's why I loved it that much!

I had that one summer in my life where I felt I was pretty. That sure was fun as hell. As far as I can remember, I loved every day of that one summer. Until now, I can still remember everything about that one summer. That summer was definitely one of the books. I tried to forget everything that happened on that summer but I can't. Some things always remind me of it, just like this book.

Sorry if I got carried away. Haha. :p Later I might start reading the second franchise. You'll hear from me very soon!

What can you say about it?

My first tie dye!

I will show you how my first ever tie dye experience went out. It was basically inspired by Saab Magalona's tie dye tutorial. See her blog post here. It was, and still, the best and easiest tie dye tutorial I've ever watched. Obviously I patterned my tie dye to hers. The outcome looked almost the same. Haha.

As I show you how my first tie dye went, I'll include a how-to-tie-dye tutorial as well. It's almost the same as Saab's, some materials are just different. Some of my materials are some of the usual stuff you can find lying anywhere at your house.

How to tie dye a shirt
1. Gather the materials. White shirt, dye of different colors, rubber bands, gloves, plastic cups and a stirrer.
If you don't have a white shirt, any light colored shirt will do but white shirt will still give you the best results. I don't know where to buy the dye, turned out National Bookstore has it for only 5 pesos per pack. Saab used buckets for her mixtures while I used plastic cups instead. Cheaper indeed. For the stirrer, I used the other end of a walis tingting. Haha. Or you can use a barbeque stick if you have it at home.

2. Mix each dye color with lukewarm water. One color per plastic cup!

3. Wash the shirt so it would get wet. Lay it flat on a flat surface. Pinch the shirt at the middle and twist. Secure it with rubber bands.

4. Pour each color onto the shirt. You may make your own design on whatever you want it. What I did was to pour one color per quadrant. I flipped the shirt and just pour everything.

5. Let it dry.

And this is how it looked like after removing the rubber bands. Good enough for a first timer? Please say yes. Haha. :)

I actually had a lot of dye mixture leftover. So I thought why not try it to other white tops.

I rummaged my closet and found this white spaghetti top that I don't wear anymore. Maybe if I turn this dull top into something colorful, I might actually consider using it again. Experiment time and voila! Just splat and splat and splat the colors!

It was really fun tie dye-ing. Good thing I actually tried doing it. All thanks to Saab! :)

Thank you Mom and Dad for buying the materials. Thank you Jaja for taking the photos. Haha.

So, what can you say about it?

THE Fifty Shades

After weeks of reading Fifty Shades Freed, I finally finished it! Exactly 3 weeks ago from today though, just had the time to blog about it today. Hahaha. I know it's too late, but never the less!

I badly want to finish the series already but I don't want to leave it all behind. You know, it was a fun adventure together with Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele-slash-Grey. I got to "see" a lot of stuff in a different perspective I know I'll never see in real life, if you know what I mean. It's kinda sad leaving them behind, though everything was so fun and full of surprises. I don't know, I guess I just really miss Christian and Ana.

Just like my previous post about Fifty Shades Darker, this blog post shall be full of book photos, emphasizing some of my favorite parts. You've been warned.

The control freak.

Free sex education from the one and only Christian Grey.

So Christian Grey!

But he can be really sweet though.

That kilig vibes when he calls you baby. :)

Please. He's everything you could ask for for a man.

I really love their email conversations!

I wish.

Until now I still have the Fifty Shades hangover and I don't know when this will last. Maybe until I see the movie? If ever there will be. And my fingers are still crossed hoping that Matt Boomer shall play the role of Christian Grey. No other man, just Matt Boomer please. :)

If you wanna check out my other posts about the series you may click here, here and here.

Now I'm up to my next read. It's entitled Fool Me Once by Fern Michaels. It's actually my Mom's book but I asked her if I could read it first. The summary is so convincing! I started reading it right after Fifty Shades Freed but I had to stop for a couple of weeks to prepare for my board exam and final exams. But now that it's sembreak already, it's time for me to catch up on my reading. :)

What can you say about the Fifty Shades series?

So much work. So little motivation.

No blog post in a week! Been very very busy these past few days.

I was in and out of everything apparently. Even though in twitter, I barely update, just quotes but not too much personal stuff.

This will be a quick one since I still have to study for my chem lec quiz tomorrow.

Let me show you why I was so busy these past few days through my Instagram photos, though they do not quite describe how busy I was/am, at least they're still a bit helpful for you to picture it out.

  • Had to review for LET as it is fast approaching already. And I've been getting low scores based on my review book which is really depressing. :((
  • Tried to make pancakes again. It's been years since I made my last pancakes and I kind of forgot how to make them. Haha. So I'm bringing back the old times.
  • Went to "Heaven" twice last week. More new stuff!
  • No constant progress on reading Fifty Shades Freed. I had like 4 to 5 days without reading it. It's frustrating how I don't have time to read considering it's my favorite past time nowadays.
  • It was the guidance councilor's week 2 weeks ago they said, that's why they have Krispy Kreme booth inside the main building. Got to buy one of my favorites, Snickers!
  • Friday traffic as usual.
  • Yellow on a Saturday coz it's a UST game ball day! Watched the game against UP. Thank God UST came back and won the game. I'm almost at the verge of losing hope! Haha.

  • I was busy doing my power point presentation for my first talk ever. It's about photography and arts. I blogged about it here.
  • I also did a quick product shoot for Green Berries.
  • Errands and more errands plus Chicosci on GGV.
  • Monday volleyball at UST.
  • Finally! Had to brew coffee again! I miss using our coffee maker. Plus it's Starbucks coffee I'm brewing now. Yay!
  • Chem lab experiments which turned out pretty well considering how much I love Harry Potter that it felt like we were in Snape's potion class.
  • Got my new lens cup already! Yaaay!

  • Watched the UST-ADMU game last Saturday with my sister. Besides getting lost, we had a very hard time getting home because of the rain madness that night.
  • Thank God Sir Yambao was absent last Thursday so I was able to do important errands using his free cut.
  • Still working on my power point.
  • The talk was cancelled. It was a good call anyway. The weather was really really bad. It even flooded here at our place.

Besides all that stuff:

  • Green Berries has been getting a lot of orders these few weeks. Which is a very good news! My online business is starting to grow. :)
  • I am still a student. So I have school responsibilities which I need to prioritize too. I have experiments, homeworks and quizzes.
  • My iPod is working badly on me. :( I don't know why. It's been nagloloko lately. All my songs and books got deleted by itself! WTF. Really. Now I have to sync them all over again. :((
  • But so far, the UAAP schedule is working good on me, besides Thursday though coz I got classes till 4:30 in the afternoon. But it's all good.
  • I can't go out with my friends. I miss hanging out. I feel so left out already.

SO MUCH WORK. SO LITTLE MOTIVATION. The quote I'm living in at the moment.

I swear after the LET on Sept.30 and my finals on October, I will be living my life! I'm gonna party hard! Hahaha. But with limits, still. I'm going to get the break I deserve.

That's it! Gotta rush! Still gotta study for my chem lec quiz tomorrow. Hope classes don't get suspended, AGAIN, coz I really hate it when I study then there's no classes I tend to forget what I studied! Haha. :))

Sneak peak on my new playlist

I tweeted a couple of nights ago that I was running through Youtube for new good songs. So I was basically having one of my so-called "Youtube nights." I purposely just made that up.

And here are some of the new songs I just found. Thought of sharing it to you guys just in case you're looking for new songs to listen to. This blog post might just help you.

1. Don't Wake Me Up - Chris Brown
2. Wings - Little Mix
3. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together - Taylor Swift
4. I Can Only Imagine - David Guetta ft. Chris Brown & Lil Wayne
5. Good Time - Owl City ft. Carly Rae Jespen
6. Goin' In - Jennifer Lopez ft. Florida
7. Scream - Usher
8. Turn Up the Love - Far East Movement ft. Cover Drive (and their Dirty Bass album)
9. Wonderwall - One Direction (Cover)
10. I'm Yours - One Direction (Cover)
11. Your Song - Parokya Ni Edgar Inuman Sessions Vol.2

Most of these are feel good songs because I was in such good mood during that night. Haha. Just spreading the good vibes here. (y)

I'm still in search for new songs though. It's been months since I last updated my iTunes music library and I know it's hungry for more music.

More albums are about to release very soon! Namely One Direction, Taylor Swift, Paramore and Chicosci. My iTunes music library will be fully satisfied with their songs. Can't wait!

That's it for now! Just a quick blog post for tonight. Just wanna share what I have on my new playlist.

Enjoy your new music! :)

Good vibes for you,

UST-DLSU Round 2

The game was scheduled on a wednesday noon. Thank God I only have my 9-11 class during wednesdays so I was able to watch the game live. I was with my childhood friends and classmates, and by childhood classmates I mean really childhood classmates, since our nursery days the three of us are already classmates. Until we reached college, we may not be classmates but we all came from the same university, UST. Anyway, it's about time I spend some quality time with people at my age. And this was one of those perfect times, UAAP ball game!

We made it just in time for the 1st quarter. Thought we're going to miss the first half though. It was Axl's fault really. Haha. :p

Was with Axl and Joseph by the way. I haven't mentioned who I was with yet. Sorry 'bout that. :)

Unfortunately, we lost. It was really a heartbreaking lost. Mariano and Afuang got fouled out. Teng's offense and defense are not working. And the ever tight defense of Ferrer did not work too. It was all about defense why our boys from UST lost. It was a hard fight. And I congratulate the boys from the DLSU team for winning. No hard feelings. It was just a game. :)

Axl, Joseph and I were one of the abangers after the game. I think we wait for a good 1 hour and a few minutes before the players showed up.

The boys were so upset about the lost. I know, it was a very crucial and important game for the team. But the boys still managed to smile for the cameras. Thank you boys!

Hello Coach Dopids! :)

Idol Aljon. Look how sad he looks in this photo. :( I need a better photo with him next time! And he must be happy and smiling too. :) *look at the guy behind Aljon haha

BOY YOU GOT MY HEART BEAT RUNNING AWAY! Imagine how fast my heart was beating at that time. I love this baller since his rookie year in UST. Plus I have his UST jersey. Yay!

Jeric "Bang bang" Teng, his new middle name. Haha. Hi Ponzi! :p

Nahiya naman ako sa height ni Abdul! It's depressing. Haha. :((

Tata is the sweetest. He was just standing beside their bus then I approached him talaga ng basta basta lang. So bait and sweet. That hand over my shoulder, that's the hand of the best 3-point shooter this season! Yeah!

I got photos with the famous UST big heads too. Mga pauso ng UST. Very unique talaga. :)

After all the buzz with the boys, Axl and I went to Starbucks to avail the half-priced promo. Spent a lot of time in Starbucks for chika and stuff. God I miss my friends! Catching up is something I really must do once in a while. I noticed that I've been so left behind with everything. Guess I'm really busy with everything right now but I know, being busy is not a good excuse.

Anyway, I learned an alternative and cheaper way to get home from MOA besides taking the cab. Haha. There's an FX pala there who pass by UST for only 40php. Plus the jeep-LRT-jeep from UST to MOA. Now I know! And now it's easier and cheaper to get back and forth from UST and MOA.

Thank you Axl and Joseph! Till our next UAAP ball game together! :)

Next up! UST vs UP this Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the MOA Arena. Show them the spirit of the Yellow crowd! Go USTe!

I will not watch the game this Saturday though but I will be 101% present on the UST-ADMU game on Sept. 15 at the MOA Arena. I have a talk in the morning though so after my talk I have to rush and go support our boys. AND I'M BRINGING MY SLR THIS TIME!!!

For UST, let's go fight! One for UST!

How'd you love the yellow crowd?
